Context

This is a non-sector specific course providing a broad overview of the main principles and some of the key topics to be aware of in relation to competition law.

Content

The course contains three chapters:

  • An introduction to competition law
  • Anti-competitive practices and behaviours
  • Communications

The emphasis is on practical application of the law, illustrated by examples and case studies.

It outlines the types of activities that are unacceptable e.g. price fixing, market sharing. It also covers issues and risks around sharing information. Advice is provided to learners on ways to avoid being implicated in anti-competitive practices and behaviour.
