Eukleia's board is comprised of senior professionals with many years of experience in the training services sector. 

Michael Sacks BA (Oxon)- Chief Executive Officer

Michael has over 20 years of financial services experience. In his early career, he worked as a lawyer, advising regulated firms on regulatory and commercial issues.

In 2000, Michael joined BPP Training, where he was Head of Regulation. He wrote and presented numerous public and in-house courses on regulation and business ethics. He then joined Complinet where he specialised in designing e-learning courses and providing tailored classroom training. Whilst at Complinet, Michael wrote ‘Financial Services Regulation – A Practical Guide’ which was endorsed by Callum McCarthy, then Chairman of the FSA.

In 2005, Michael co-founded Eukleia. Aside from his leadership role at Eukleia, Michael remains actively involved in both online and classroom delivery. He is also Eukleia’s specialist on all financial crime topics, and has worked closely with regulators and the industry to provide training on money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, bribery and fraud. Michael specialises in developing innovative and award-winning learning solutions for international banks and financial services firms, and has worked on many high-profile projects.

Simon Cooper MA, MBA - Chief Financial Officer

Simon heads up the financial, commercial and technology functions at Eukleia.

Before co-founding Eukleia, he had over 15 years of general commercial and management experience with GE and Texas Instruments. During his career, he has been especially involved in the application of technology to support business applications.

At Eukleia, Simon is responsible for the development of Eukleia's technology and tools to support quality assurance and process improvement. He oversees developments on Eukleia's LMS and supervises current developments in HTML5 authoring and use of rapid development tools.  He also plays an active role in authoring content and managing projects, especially on broader GRC topics such as code of conduct, sustainability and supply chain management.  

Simon is a graduate of Cambridge University and holds an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. 

Sue West MCIPD, MCMI - Chief Operating Officer

For close to 25 years, Sue has collaborated with global corporate clients to support training of the highest standard. Initially joining the education and training team at the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, Sue then established the service team at Hyperion Training, and later the corporate service team at BPP Professional Education. Sue brought her expertise in tailored service solutions to Eukleia in February 2013.

Sue has championed service and programme management, leading Eukleia’s team of managers to ensure that the highest quality is a key client delivery. It is a goal which she still passionately pursues, in addition to her duties as COO.


Kate Lander (CFA) - Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer, Kate works with Eukleia’s clients to understand their current and future needs, as well as exploring how Eukleia can utilise the ever-changing developments in technology to create the most innovative learning solutions to meet clients’ needs.

Kate began working in financial services in 1993, initially qualifying as a chartered accountant. She then transitioned into training, spending nine years delivering programs to accountants, hedge funds and investment managers. Kate was head of CFA Program training at both BPP and 7city Learning.

At the start of 2005, Kate moved back into the financial services industry, spending nine years there. She moved to Northern Trust, where she was responsible for securities lending and fixed income product management, before heading international fixed income for securities lending.

In 2013, Kate returned to the world of education with the CFA Institute, where she was Head of Education for EMEA, and then Global Chief Learning Officer for Fitch Learning.

Kate qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst as well as a Chartered Accountant. She is also a non-executive director of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), which funds and regulates universities and colleges in England.
