The advancement of technology and the increasing availability of data provide great business opportunities but also pose challenges and threats to firms. Experience shows that the threats don't just come from outside: employees' own actions or carelessness can lay a firm open to security risks.

This course raises awareness of the risks and provides a practical guide for learners on simple ways to counter the risks.

Based on the mnemonic SECURE, it focuses on:

  • Safer use of Social media
  • Email threats, including phishing
  • Protecting Computer hardware and software
  • The risks associated with USB sticks
  • Remote working
  • Escalation and reporting

Format

SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 compliant. The course is built with HTML/CSS/jQuery.

Implementation

This course runs on any SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 compliant LMS platform and supports Internet Explorer 8 and above, Chrome, Safari, Firefox and tablets. JavaScript must be enabled and all pop-up blockers disabled.
