Elearning suite for international insurer


Situation

Our client is a leading international life insurer providing life, accident and health insurance, retirement planning, and wealth management solutions to over 20 million customers worldwide via agents, brokers and financial institutions.
 
Having previously deployed courses from another provider, this client was looking to refresh and enhance the compliance training programme for its UK employees. They wanted to deploy elearning that was both engaging and practical, and that could be tailored to the particular requirements of their business. As with any training intervention, the ultimate goal was to impact the performance of the business by improving the knowledge and behaviours of the employees.
 
The programme needed to provide induction training to new employees and ongoing refresher training for existing staff. The intent was to address key areas of organisational risk, including financial crime, information security and operational risk, whilst encouraging ongoing customer focus. 
 

Solution 

Eukleia worked closely with the compliance team to identify suitable elearning courses from its generic catalogue and then to adapt them to company requirements. Courses on FSA Regulation, Financial Crime, Fraud Awareness, Data Protection and Treating Customers Fairly were chosen. These were then tailored to include the company brand, sector and company specific case studies, and links to company policies and procedures to ensure relevance and resonance with the learner.
 
Eukleia’s online review tool, ELF, was used to manage the tailoring and review process and to ensure the tailoring work was completed to deadline. As a second phase, two fully bespoke courses (‘An Introduction to Risk Management’ and ‘Enterprise Risk Management’) have been developed in close collaboration with the client to address the key organisational priority. These closely align to organisational practice and approach to provide meaningful direction of employee behaviour towards controlling key risks. Assessments were also tailored to the client requirements and implemented into the courses which are all delivered on the Eukleia Learning Management System. This has also been tailored for the client to provide management information reports and logs for Continuing Professional Development. 
 

Outcome

The suite of courses has been deployed to all employees and the learner feedback has been that courses are engaging, enjoyable and focus attention on company priority areas. According to the Manager for Learning and Development, “Eukleia were very flexible in allowing us to tailor our modules and make them very specific to our business. We have received very good feedback on the new modules from our employees.”
