Sustainability training for leading biotechnology firm

Our US based client, one of the world’s leading biotechnology firms and a member of a multinational pharmaceutical group, has an active and ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability. WSP Environment and Energy has been supporting the client to develop and implement its environmental sustainability programme over several years.  During 2011, WSP was asked by the client to develop online training resources as part of this work.

WSP has been a partner of Eukleia Training since 2008, when the firms worked together on a bespoke environmental awareness training course for a financial services client. Since that time, WSP has also commissioned Eukleia to produce a bespoke sustainability training course for its own internal use.
The courses highlight Eukleia’s leading design principles and include a variety of interactive scenarios to educate learners about the importance of sustainability topics.

For the biotechnology client, WSP worked closely with Eukleia’s team and the client’s sustainability manager to develop a tailored sustainability course that reflects the client’s particular sustainability challenges and opportunities, highlighting the internal programmes that are in place, and encouraging individual employees to get further involved. With the development of the course taking place with a team spread across several time zones, the project made extensive use of Eukleia’s online review tool “ELF” to capture comments and feedback during the review cycles.
Eukleia’s team also worked with the client’s new LMS provider to integrate the course onto this platform and coordinate user acceptance testing of the course across a variety of workstations including both PCs and Macs and a variety of internet browsers.

The course is currently being rolled out  to employees at the client organisation and has been very well received by the Sustainability Manager.
