AML and Corporate Governance at leading credit card provider

Background

Our client issues one in five of all credit cards in the UK, and now operates in 60 other countries across the globe. The company had a need to implement a suite of anti-money laundering training for its entire population, ranging from an introductory level course for general employees, through to a detailed course for customer facing staff and those involved in new account set up. The courses needed to incorporate jurisdictional specific information for the countries where the company operates, and to be translated into a variety of languages.

In addition, the company had launched a major project to produce elearning training to support their updated corporate governance initiative, and asked Eukleia to supply a selection of courses to achieve this.

Solution

Working closely with the our client's local compliance team and their corporate compliance function, Eukleia's financial crime specialist Michael Sacks authored a series of bespoke courses to meet the requirements. In addition to the course content, Eukleia produced a set of assessment questions from which a randomised subset could be delivered to each user to certify their understanding of the content. The courses were integrated onto the firm's LMS and from there were assigned to groups of users according to their location and job function.

Once the suite of English language versions was finalised, Eukleia managed the process of working with a specialist localisation and translation partner to produce versions in Spanish, German and Italian.

Eukleia worked closely with the firm's Learning and Development Project Manager to scope and deliver the other set of corporate governance courses. These included Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity Awareness, Data Protection and Fraud. Taking an initial brief from the firm's policy owners in each area, Eukleia's subject matter experts and instructional designers developed content storyboards for each course. Then, following client approval, the Eukleia design team built these into a suite of elearning courses.

Outcome

Over the course of the engagement, Eukleia has developed a high quality suite of content that is now being rolled out across the entire employee population. Feedback from policy owners and end users has been highly positive, both on the development process and the quality of the delivered content.
